Alien: Covenant is a 2017 British-American science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott and written by John Logan and Dante Harper, with a story by Michael Green and Jack Paglen. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film Prometheus, the second installment in the Alien prequel series, and the sixth installment overall in the Alien film series, as well as the third directed by Scott. Alien: Covenant premiered in London on May 4, 2017 and was released on May 12 in the UK and on May 19, 2017 in United States.^[7] The film received generally positive reviews, with critics praising Fassbender’s dual performance and a return to form for both director Ridley Scott and the franchise,^[8][9] but underperformed at the domestic box office^[10] and grossed a total of $231 million worldwide against its $97 million budget.
