User Review:
Newb director Sophia Banks in her first full length feature film also tried her best with the terrible screenplay seasoned writer John Collee came up with. It was a cliched, lazily written with an underwhelming narrative that’s been told many times before, and much better. There were more plot holes than thrills. E.g. Isn’t the telecom hatch a way out lol? Then there was this action scene that looked like it was edited by a 5 year old, irrelevant frames thrown in the middle of the choreography that would make anyone cringe. Even the normally comfortable runtime of 93 mins felt much longer with the slow pacing and long and mostly unnecessary scenes.

Don’t get me wrong, from the start there seemed to be potential, but then it started to go downhill fast. And the ending – suggesting a sequel, was a Bruce Willis walking behind explosions with a cheesy narrative of what’s to come – utterly cliched, unimaginative and cringeworthy. The performances and casting were decent for a B film, although Monaghan deserves better. The score was typical B grade – annoyingly constant and unfitting for the most part. The cinematography was decent as were the sets and location. Had a much better writer put a little more effort into the screenplay, this could’ve easily been better. A generous 6/10 from me.
